((they at least fight in short or little heels though. Like yeah, Naruto has a history of making the characters wear impractical outfits, but with Sarada her heels were for some reason designed to be EXTRA impractical?))

[[ See the thing is, showing toes is also impractical. Showing toes is asking for them to be burned, electrocuted, stubbed, cut off, frozen, etc etc and so on. But Kishi draws toes just….because he likes it. There really is no meta explanation, no “in universe” explanation for why everyone wears open-toed sandals. They just do

I’ll gladly agree her heels are impractical. But this is Naruto, and there’s no explanation for why she can’t fight without heels. She just….can. She just can now, this isn’t going to be tackled in the manga. If it does, I’ll be surprised, but Kishi never tackled open-toed sandals in-universe nor every woman’s sandal having a heel.

Boruto’s jacket is open and can get caught on things. Boruto’s shoes look like he cut the toes off a pair of crocs. Sai’s entire….”shirt.” Ino baring her midriff in all of her outfits beside the standard flack jacket outfit during the war. Sasuke’s open shirt during the beginning of Shippuden…even most of Sasuke’s sandals show more of the foot than anyone else’s sandals. Only as an adult does Sasuke have boots (with the toes bared, of course). There are many arguments to be made for impracticality w/ outfits and none are really addressed. Sarada’s not really anything new. ]]
