uchihacollector:

Orochimaru lets himself follow the fall. They lay sideways, and he is at the edge. He presses his knees more together around Itachi’s waist. He shifts so he is nose to nose with him. Their black hair mixes on the leather seat.

“I thought about you,” Orochimaru whispered. “-when I was travelling. I thought of things like this.”

Itachi knows Orochimaru’s thought of a lot more, but perhaps there’s joy to be taken in him admitting he thinks of softer, gentler things.

He goes a step further, shifting a leg to wedge it between Orochimaru’s carefully.

“I had thought you’d return the moment I was promoted.”

[[ RE: A post I saw today:

It’s not that Sasuke feels Orochimaru’s hideouts are “home,” it’s that he has literally nothing to fear from Orochimaru and can call the shots as he pleases, so he has no reason to be wary/on guard/careful/what have you while walking into the base.

To say that Sasuke considered a place like that home is just…it’s off, and wrong. It was not a place of comfort and safety. It was somewhere to stay to train and get stronger to defeat Itachi, not to relax.

Keep in mind Sasuke is also the same person who walked into Orochimaru’s base, demanded info on the Chinoike, and then told Orochimaru to hurry up.

It’s not at all about ~homeliness~, it’s about knowing he’s the strongest person there and he will get what he wants. ]]
