His eyes close for a second, relishing the feel of rest. Kaasan had him run errands all day. Itachi is still too tiny to do much, speaking of which he’s still in charge of looking after him! Pushing himself up on his hands, he looks to his baby brother. Scooting over to him, he pokes the one year old’s tummy. “Itachi,” he calls, tilting his head.

Itachi calls back, even if his sounds are restricted to lone, weak vowels. He’s heard Sasuke’s name many times, but the ‘s’ still eludes him. It’s difficult, without teeth.

But he’s happy. Infront of his brother he’s more expressive, kicking his legs and reaching out for the hand that touched him.

That will fit in his mouth, won’t it? At least, the fingers should.
