Damn.. Should’ve kept that right next to her.

Of course he would know exactly where to find her. She nods a thanks to him not trying to scare her. Izumi knew he wouldn’t try such a thing anyways, he was always serious when it came to his missions. But her heart had just began to start a normal pace again.

Izuma knew that Itachi was straight to the point and she wasn’t shy. He would get what he wanted either way. So she slowly lifts up her shirt to show the bandage she had over the wound. Thankful that she was too exhausted to blush she looked down to see what he would be looking it. The gauze she had placed over the wound had slightly bled through, but there wasn’t nearly as much blood anymore which was a good sign.

A cool breeze enters the cave causing goosebumps to raise on her skin, “It’s not that bad really..”

He will hand it back, later. For now it’ll go back into his pack. It’s likely more useful in his hands, anyways. He will sit with her, and inspect the wound in the dim light the cave provides. Here, the Sharingan is useful, allowing him to reflect the light to get a clearer view.

His sigh is that of relief. It wasn’t too deep, and she had already tended to it.

“When morning breaks, I will complete your original mission. Then we will return.”

He can only hope– as limiting as the thought is, that Izumi will be more careful about going on missions. He didn’t want to see her hurt.

trxgicuchiha:

The sound of Itachi’s voice had never sounded more amazing. Of course he would be her rescue party. He must have realized that the office had sent her on a mission that was above her skill level. Utter relief relaxed her features as she loosened her grip on her kunai and allowed it to fall onto the ground.

“Dont scare me like that!” Her voice is soft as she slides back down to the floor causing a wince in the process. She tried to hide it, positive that she was about to get a mouthful for going on a mission without back up. He didn’t need to worry about the wound on her abdomen as well. Besides, she had taken care of it for the most part. It was just the ache that occurred every time she attempted to move or even breathe.

No biggie.

She looks up at him as she does her best to wrap the blanket back around her shoulders, “How’d you know where to find me..” Izumi clears her throat and pats the spot next to her. Any moment the butterflies in her stomach would start swarming at his close proximity.

“Finding shelter when injured is listed in the shinobi handbook.” It was a simple deduction. She could’ve been killed… He has to wonder if she accepted the mission too eagerly, perhaps. Missing the days she was assigned to simply guard the Daimyo’s relatives. At least there was no danger involved, there.

“I wasn’t attempting to scare you.” Now he will close the distance, picking up the kunai at the same time he smells the blood.

“Where are you injured.” As most combat oriented shinobi, he only knows rudimentary first aid.

trxgicuchiha:

To put things simple Izumi was royally screwed.

She was on a mission to defeat a rogue ninja who turned out to be one of multiple. Something that the guys at headquarters failed to mention to her when she was given the assignment. Izumi had been able to hold her own against the one but when multiples had shown up.. There were times when a Kunoichi had to be able to admit to herself when they were overwhelmed and needed to run. In that moment, Izumi knew she wasn’t going to be able to fend them all off. It didn’t mean you were a coward.. Just that you were being smart and thinking about your own life.

Only when she had tried to run, a kunai had found its way into her abdomen. Izumi had gritted her teeth against the pain then ripped out the kunai and, thankful for her speed, took off. She was slightly surprised that they hadn’t tried to follow her further – after a short time she had risked a glance backward to find no one there. Slowly she stopped running, her breaths labored as she looked around for some kind of shelter.. The sun was quickly fading and she could feel the warm liquid soaking through her shirt. She needed to tend to the wound and quickly, there was no sense in trying to make the trip since the loss of blood would only slow her down.

So here she was..

Alone in a darkened cave trying to stay wrapped up in a blanket to keep warm. Though thankful that her abdomen had quit bleeding for the most part – her energy was spent after tending to the wound. How could she have been so stupid? Allowing so many to sneak up on her was a rookie mistake.

Footsteps sound at the entrance of the cave. Izumi jumps up with a kunai in hand trying to ignore the pain that shoots through her stomach from the sudden movement.

“Who’s there!? I’ll have you know I’m fully armed and dangerous!” Her words didn’t have nearly as much bite as she wanted them to given her current state. But her hand gripped her kunai tightly – she wasn’t about to go down with out a fight.

The mission desk had made a mistake, to put it lightly.

The first was assuming that all Uchiha were at the same skill level. Or that the existence of the Sharingan gave them a sharp edge, and had few drawbacks. Things like chakra consumption weren’t considered.

So yes, Itachi was quite displeased when he was called in to be sent as late “pre”cautionary backup for a fight that would surely kill Izumi, if he was not already too late. They hadn’t done their research properly, another reason for his contempt, as the Bingo Book existed for good reason.

But luck shines upon him, when he is threatened at the entrance of the cave. It is a lot more fire than he has ever seen or heard in the frail girl who usually followed after him, and it brings him ease.

“You’re safe, Izumi. It’s Itachi.” And to prove himself, he shows his Sharingan, hands held up in a show of submission.

uminosclassroom:

“Your first time is supposed to be special.” Is it? He questions the statement as soon as he says it. Sure, people still talk about their first time, but he’s never heard of a shinobi whose first time story included roses and candles. He has never heard anyone discuss sex between men at all, except with vague metaphors and disdain in their voice. Maybe this is how things are supposed to be.

Their conversation isn’t getting them anywhere anymore, and Itachi is looking around like he wants to get up for the day. Now seems like a good time to drop the subject and move on. Hopefully, the rest of their day won’t be too awkward.

“Do you want to get washed up while I make breakfast?”

That was…Hm.

Bad wording. An implication that it was not worth sleeping with him. It was enjoyable, and he didn’t have any plans of escape, nor even moving to a different bed.

But he will nod. Concede for now. “I will.” Just his regular morning shower, and then he will do some light tidying while Iruka makes them both food.

A much-needed critical post about fandom shaming. (Incest. Gore. Rape. Etc.)

Stories and artwork explore alternative modes of being in the world. Stories open up a space to be someone else than you for a while. This goes for both producers or consumers of narrative media.

The institutionalized politics/religion/markets spread norms the people must adhere to. If you don’t adhere to them, you get thrown in jail, be called a heretic, do not get money.

Stories explore alternative modes of existing. They answer the “what if x was different” questions. Stories about of taboo topics challenge and explore the real-world norms most intensely. Thus, transgressive fiction is VITAL for critical thinking about society and the norms that are placed on us.

Dark themes are often narrative dramatisation, NOT appropriation.

Forbidding/shaming/bullying people to ‘correct’ them, is counterproductive. It only suppress the production of the result of their feelings. It does not attack the source where those feelings come from. It does not teach people how to handle those feelings.

The primary function of art is to explore outside the norm. Narrative art/stories are vital to make sense of the world.

Perhaps the transformative side of fandom is not for you, and you should change your media consumption. You are responsible for what you consume. Do not ‘correct’ producers. Don’t mask your discomfort with contempt.
