A Bath Worth Remembering

He’s come to kind of expect this bit, really. ‘Just relaxing in the bath’ has, for Shisui, too many times become an encounter with Suigetsu, so he barely blinks as his grinning lover forms up, sprawled atop his reclining body, and kisses him.

“Hello to you too.”

“Missed ya,” Suigetsu breathes, close to his ear. “Just couldn’t show it before, all those fuckin people around…”

“So show me now.”

Does this look like the face of a man who’s happy to go “home” just sayin’

These are caps of Sasuke’s reaction to the message saying he needs to come back to Konoha. You’d think there’d be a small smile or maybe neutral but there’s only sadness, I really don’t think he wants to return to the village who drove Itachi to madness and ruined his life. There’s nothing there for him and they’re only calling him back because he’s all they have. He’s a weapon, a tool to be used, like his brother.

He looks so sad on the second panel, who would ever think this is a face of a happy man going back to his own village, where his “friends” are. :/

He looks dead.

Like he’d rather be somewhere with his pet cats sipping some lemonade and eating some cherry tomatoes. But nah konoha is always cooking up bullshit

His surprise is written across his eyes, however with his ANBU mask in place it reminds hidden. 

He didn’t think he would find anything, much less anyone on this assignment. Despite his voiced reservations, Kaka- ah Hokage-sama wanted to be certain of it. 

He drops from his perch, landing gracefully on the forest floor. 

“Hokage-sama’s assumption was right, he did not release you from the Edo Tensei.” 

For a split second– he feels some sort of undue pride. Every generation of shinobi became stronger than the last. In some cases, the gap was closed and breached quite early.

He used to be so adept at avoiding tracking– even by Hyuuga, and Inuzuka. Especially the insects the Aburame were so fond of. And yet here he is, discovered! Found, hunted down efficiently. It alone is enough to make him stop, if only for a few moments. No sense in starting a chase immediately. Not when he should take his time and set up some genjutsu, in what remains of his eyes. 

Itachi could explain he isn’t a threat, but…he’s yet to know what the Leaf knows about him. It would cause too much confusion to explain he meant no harm and simply wished to leave. 

“And who is acting Hokage.” That is the question Itachi will bring. He is avoiding the intel on purpose.
