Was leaving the village not an option for the Uchiha clan? Asking cause I imagine they’d be too vulnerable on their own surrounded by some allied forces while trying to find a place to settle and if they settled in another village they’d eventually end up just as they did in Konoha but I could be overlooking something.

[[ Sadly, no. Leaving the village is not an option. 

Remember Sasuke? Leaving the village without permission is immediately considered high treason. Nuke-kin are NOT treated kindly, they are immediately sought out for death. Not to mention, this would leave the Uchiha vulnerable to other people who wanted to attack them for their eyes, and I will admit Konoha’s walls kept them safe to an extent. 

Plus, the Uchiha couldn’t publicly argue for leaving the village. Danzo and Hiruzen are doing everything in their power to keep the situation under wraps, letting the problem be known to everyone is not on their to-do list. 

If they tried to leave the village, all of them would be immediately branded as traitors and they would be killed. ]]

What was the plan then, he wonders. 

He’d come to Shisui for comfort, comfort over his Father still not understanding him, over feeling like he couldn’t talk to him.

Being in Shisui’s embrace was like being truly home. The trust and respect he held for his best friend was so much that he didn’t think to tell him to stop when he felt lips upon his own, or a hand (always warm, always wanted) creep under his shirt.

Details are foggy. All he remembers is that he felt wanted, and appreciated, and his first orgasm might’ve temporarily let him travel between dimensions.

Now Itachi has to think twice about the previous night, knees tucked close to his chest. Was it a mistake? Words don’t find him, expecting his friend to catch on.

Itachi doesn’t drink at all on his own– in the rare event you could get him to drink, he cannot handle the alcohol. He flushes red in the face from the swelled vessels, and feels as if the room is too hot.

He also gets really, really drowsy. He will probably fall asleep after a few beers, stronger liquor will knock him out faster. 

Alcohol does reduce inhibitions, however, in the hypothetical event one could get him really drunk, he would be brutally honest with how he feels instead of holding back. This is because he normally holds back– people who are usually honest likely wouldn’t do this. ]]

How*** (lol i started laughing and lost control) would Itachi have grown up as an only child? Would his obsession turn onto someone else? What would he strive for?

[[ That is an interesting question! Given Itachi meets Shisui not too long after Sasuke’s born, I’d place my bets on the obsession being moved over to him.

It will certainly mean Itachi has more free time to train, given he’s not setting time aside to care for an infant.

…Actually, I think Mikoto might die– they leave Itachi home during the night of the Kyuubi attack to babysit, without this who knows where in the house he’d be, and he might not get there in time to rescue his mother. 

He’d still strive for the same things, however. Peace, by obtaining the Hokage title and going beyond, there just won’t be his brother mixed in, and people wouldn’t be able to use Sasuke to manipulate him. ]]

In a Hokage!AU, how old do you hc Itachi to be when he rises to power? What happens to the Clan Leader position in this scenario?

[[ That depends on which of my….at least three Hokage AUs we’re talking about.

But it’s ok because I never made a page stating I had 3 in detail.

In my AU with @goldenyondaime and @uzurutonkachi. Itachi is 14 when he rises to power. Minato doesn’t die until Itachi is 14 years old, and in his dying breaths he hands the title to Itachi. Clan leader position remains with Fugaku in this scenario, and might go to Sasuke one day, when Sasuke wants it.

In my Godaime AU he gains the title at around 23-25 years of age. I think this is the working AU with @amaryllisdrifts as Itachi’s taken on the task of trying to fix the Hyuuga clan. Position is still with Fugaku, since he would….fuck….math…

he’d be like 52 lol. Not close to dying yet.

My third AU is weird and I don’t think I’ve ever played it out, but it’s a post war and post boruto AU where Sasuke retrieves baby Itachi from another timeline, and raises him as his second child, and Itachi becomes like….the 9th Hokage. There is no more clan so no clan leader. ]]
