8. Should all people be treated as equal, and have the same rights?

“Yes…” yet the answer trails off, stuck thinking about the particulars of this question. He knows what his Father is referencing, and Itachi’s digging up examples of where clan members wanted more than just equal treatment.
It is so difficult to speak to his Father about this, knowing what Itachi doomed them to when he thought himself smarter and capable, and more wised. A few bad apples shouldn’t dictate opinion of the entire populace, and yet Itachi had judged.
He was so young, he just kept making excuses. That it wasn’t because he was Uchiha, it was because of his age. That any discrimination to him didn’t count. That he should hide things from his clan because they would get angry.
The fight for equality shouldn’t include violence and death, his subconscious tells him, but he knows that’s just a foolish dream. Sometimes, it has to.
He awaits his Father’s judgement.
