8. Do you genuinely want your muse to be happy? What do you think would make them most happy in life?

[[ Dear lord someone give my son something GOOD in his life for once. lkjflkflklkflkfklflf. He’d be truly happy being able to live a peaceful life with Sasuke. Let the man be Hokage, let him make the change he dreams about. Yes ok Sasuke gets a little coddled/shielded but it’s nothing too damaging if we manage to avoid/settle the coup before it turns into a massacre. Get rid of Danzo. He’s cancer. ]]

9. Do you enjoy putting your muse through angst? What do you think would break their heart the most?

[[ I’m fuckin’ awful I love angst lmao. Especially if I can make myself cry while threading. That’s the good shit. 

I think the most awful thing I could do is have Itachi return to the village to find Sasuke’s killed himself. I can’t decide which I like more, finding the fresh corpse or an already bloating/rotting corpse. ]]

2. What made you decide to write this muse?

[[ This is like– the dumbest origin story lmao. Basically, an old friend revived her love for Naruto. KisaIta specifically, and she played Kisame. She begged me to make an Itachi blog and I decided what to heck, this is as good a reason as any to catch up on the manga. Now I’m stuck with my son 4 years later. ]]

11. What do you hate about your muse?

[[ I don’t….truly hate anything about him. Like, he has a lot of flaws and I may tease now and then, but I don’t truly hate anything about him. I may exaggerate my frustration with how stubborn he is at stages like pre-massacre/Akatsuki. For someone who claims to be flexible with understanding the world/people he’s really stuck in his ways lmao. ]]

18. What aspect of your muse’s personality is most important to you? What aspect of your muse’s personality do you think is most important to them? Is it the same? Why or why not?

1. What makes you the most emotional about your muse?

[[ Fuckin’……his feelings for Sasuke. Sometimes we both feel them at once and then those are classic Sasuke Feelings™. It’s awful. We have a problem. ]]

3. If you could change one event in your muse’s life (in their main or canon verse), what would you change?

[[ I mean, as far as “Itachi deserved better” choices go, the whole Danzo thing. Removing Danzo removes a lot of other problems. But as much as bad things happened to him, I like Itachi’s complete story. I’m not one of those of people who thinks canon is awful/badly written because A Bad Thing™ happened to one of my favorite characters.]]

5. If you could give your muse one gift, what would you give them?

[[ A good hairbush. At least….brush it daily…..that’s all I ask. ]]

18. What aspect of your muse’s personality is most important to you? What aspect of your muse’s personality do you think is most important to them? Is it the same? Why or why not?

[[ His feelings toward the clan. Basically, his opinion on clan pride and how easily one little thing like clan members being aggressive to him is enough to ruin the chance of him allying himself with them. Itachi thinks they’re full of themselves. And he’s not entirely wrong, when it comes to Yashiro And Pals™. It’s unfortunate they’re the loudest voices in the clan and Fugaku doesn’t really get them under control as much as he should. The Uchiha definitely deserved better but Yashiro and Co are your typical radical minority, they need to chill. 

I’d say Itachi thinks his most important trait is his ability to look at things from all sides. (Even though that didn’t stop him from getting played like a fiddle as a kid 8/ )

So it’s not the same. The reason it’s not the same is I really really really really really hate the whole Uchiha obsession/hate wank the fandom has going on so it’s important to me to recognize Itachi was NOT like the majority of his clan. He’s not conceited like Yashiro and his friends, he doesn’t cling onto the name, he doesn’t think it makes him better than people. ]]

Itachi’s hug isn’t a surprise. Somehow he felt it coming. A brother instinct maybe? His arms wrap around his smaller frame, fingers toying with the ends of his hair. “Don’t cry,” he tells him quietly. “Come on let’s go get the dango,” he says trying not to feel too guilty. Damn Itachi.

He’s not going to. Itachi swallows thickly, squeezing Sasuke tighter. 

He nods into Sasuke’s clothing, and pulls away with a final sniffle, taking his hand. He’s ready to go.

Sasuke pulls away his hand and lets it drop against his side. “You want to go for some dango?” He tries awkwardly, giving his brother a side glance.

“Yes.” Anything to spend time with his brother. Especially since his brother hated sweets, so he was doing this for him. Itachi reaches up to wipe his arm across his face, because he was absolutely not about to cry. Good shinobi don’t cry. Even if your throat constantly tightens up and your eyes hurt when your brother looks at you with venom in his gaze– you don’t cry.

Itachi knew– to a degree, that this behavior was pretty pathetic. No one else held as much importance in his heart. Not even his Father or Mother could match what he felt for Aniki. And truthfully, you were supposed to distance yourself from people who treated you badly. 

Itachi simply couldn’t. Sasuke meant too much, and he’d rather cling to a single moment of Sasuke  being kind than the numerous incidents of Sasuke being cruel to him. Maybe that would get him killed one day.

He reaches forward; wraps his arms around his brother’s waist. Let him cling for just a minute.
