yeah, i figured sakura’s grasp of the situation is pretty ignorant (sasuke can never have a real home and yet she acts impatient about this??) but at least naruto or kakashi SHOULD understand his position better (we hope??) also since sarada has sharingan now, doesn’t that make her a target, too? :O
[[ God, don’t start on me about Kakashi. Both him and Naruto know the truth about the Uchiha massacre and did nothing and act like it was Sasuke’s fault for ~going crazy~. I dislike them both. Kakashi doesn’t even think/care about Sasuke anymore, in his novel he lists people important to him and Sasuke is unsurprisingly absent from the list.
I do hope Sarada’s safe though, someone has already tried to come after her to get at Sasuke (Adult Shin, using his clones), and now that she has the Sharingan she’s a bigger target. ]]
(legitimate question) is there any evidence that naruto or sakura are even aware that sasuke literally cannot stay in one place for more than a day?? bc pretty much the entirety of gaiden vilifies him for not living in the village all this time
[[ I don’t think so, at the moment. This is discounting Sasuke Sunrise because I’m not counting the animated version until after the novel is fully translated and I’ve read it, because the studio has been known to deviate from book contents already. From what I read in Sakura’s story, and Shikamaru’s story, all they really know is he’s out exploring the world. Sakura continually whines about how long she’ll “have to wait” until he comes back. They don’t really have a concrete reason as to why he stays away besides what he said when he left in 699.
However I …want? To think that they know something different in the future. As in flashbacks during Gaiden, Sakura explains that Sasuke is outside the village because he’s “protecting the village.” But she also says that one day he’ll return permanently, that he’ll be “done”. I don’t know if this is supposed to mean she thinks it’s something that can be permanently finished or that she thinks he’ll come back once he kills everyone lusting for his eyes (and he doesn’t like to kill, so…) Naruto knows he’s working on completing information about Kaguya, it’s why they exchange mission scrolls and why the Boruto movie happens, too. ]]
